Starting as a radio broadcast in 1933 in Detroit over at WXYZ, The Lone Ranger has achieved cult standing with the familiar duo of the masked western Lone Ranger and his Indian sidekick Tonto.
It went on to become a TV series on ABC from 1949 to 1957 with various TV specials thereafter. It then became an animated series, a video game and was franchised as 10-inch action toy figures staring in 1973.
